YEEP Somalia Youth Representative Joins National Dialogue on Peacebuilding and Countering Extremism

We are incredibly proud to have had Shiimaay Yare, represent YEEP Alumni Somalia as a distinguished panelist at the impactful youth discussion event, organized by Xarunta Qaran ee Tubsan in collaboration with The Higher Institute for Security Studies . The event, centered around the theme “Orientation and Building Youth Awareness,” provided a platform to discuss some of the most critical issues affecting our society today.
Shiimaay played an integral role in the discussion, sharing valuable insights and contributing to the dialogue on peace-building, countering extremism, and stabilizing liberated areas. Drawing from his experience and expertise, he highlighted the crucial role that youth can play in addressing these challenges. His perspective on the importance of youth-driven initiatives and collaboration in these areas was not only inspiring but also encouraged active participation from the young leaders present.
These conversations are crucial in shaping a generation of young leaders who can contribute meaningfully to a more peaceful and secure future.
