YEEP Somalia Actively Participated in the “Peace and Unity Event” in Mogadishu
Mogadishu, June 29, 2025 – YEEP Somalia played a significant and active role in the “Peace and Unity Event ” held yesterday in Mogadishu. The Event was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Federal Government of Somalia and is part of the country’s Freedom Days celebrations.
The Event aimed to raise awareness among Somali youth about the importance of peace, national unity, and social cohesion. The program especially focused on encouraging young people to take an active role in peacebuilding and national development.
The event brought together various segments of society, including national and regional youth organizations, members of the Somali Scouts, and representatives from the Ministries of Security and Religious Affairs. Discussions emphasized the critical role of youth in promoting stability, development, and combating extremist ideologies.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Dahabo Suusoow Mohamed, who officially closed the program, expressed gratitude to all participants and underscored the importance of supporting youth-focused peace and unity initiatives in Somalia.
