YEEP Somalia Hosts Dialogue on Strengthening Women and Young Girls in PVE

As the Somalia awardee of the Carol Bellamy Leadership Award (CBLA), YEEP Somalia hosted a powerful dialogue and training session titled “Strengthening Somali Women and Young Girls in PVE Through Dialogue.”
The session brought together civil society organizations and government representatives, alongside young women leaders, to exchange experiences, build skills, and co-develop strategies to prevent violent extremism in their communities.
The Carol Bellamy Leadership Award is a GCERF initiative funded by the Federal Republic of Germany. This award recognises and amplifies the leadership of women who are building more resilient, inclusive, and peaceful communities in contexts affected by violent extremism and terrorism.
This recognition and event were made possible through the nomination by Elman Peace And Human Rights Centre, the Torchbearer for Somalia.
We thank Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund(GCERF) and the Federal Republic of Germany for this meaningful initiative.
We remain committed to advancing locally driven solutions to P/CVE and uplifting women’s leadership in peacebuilding.
